Fluoro Tube and Fitting Recycling
Fluorescent (fluoro) tubes and compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs) are an energy-efficient way of lighting our world.
The downside is that they contain mercury, a toxic metal best kept out of our environment. Although the amount of mercury in each tube or lamp may seem small, the millions of lamps discarded each year make up the largest source of mercury going into Australian land fill.
In addition to mercury, fluorescent tubes and CFLs contain glass, aluminum and other metals.
Recom Electrical utilize the services of reputable recycling companies to ensure these products and handled and recycled correctly.
Any replaced tubes and fittings during the contract period will be removed from site, and returned to the Recom Electrical local branch for collection by CMA.
